Brass Shims

Shims are used in a variety of industries because of the relatively low cost of the part. Shims are used to fit a gap or space to ensure a proper fit. By using this one part, you are able to avoid custom manufacturing each piece of the object. In addition, shims can reduce production costs by reducing tolerances between metals. Brass shims are used in situations when sparks need to be avoided, which is especially relevant in equipment fittings.
